Ugh. Where do I even start with this? Awful movie. Fool's Gold was more enjoyable and even that one I can't recommend.
Basic storyline: son inherits dad's show, Strange Wilderness, and tries to make it a great show again but with the rapidly declining ratings, it's going to take a super story to pull it out of the gutter. Bigfoot has supposedly been spotted so he takes his crew to go find this creature and film it.
I should have known by the long, drawn out "hayuck!" of the goofy shark in the trailer that the comedy wouldn't be to my taste, but I figured that would be the only horrible scene. Maybe I'm getting too high of a standard for comedies because the rest of the theater was erupting in laughter every few minutes where I was just inwardly groaning. I'm pretty sure this was the same crowd that was with me when I saw Meet The Spartans because it was a similar type of humor.
Sorry, but I just didn't think this was very funny.
Maybe I'm just burned out, but I think I'm turned off to comedies for awhile. I'm ready for a really good action-adventure (Jumper?) or a great scare me til I pee my pants (The Ruins?) or even just a nice tear-jerker (Definitely, Maybe?).
Vixy :]
