Movie Review - Awake

Awake can be summed up in one sentence "Nothing is as it seems."

This movie was full of twists and turns everywhere you looked...it was GREAT! Kept you on your toes...well, actually, on the edge of your seat.

It's really hard to figure out which parts to tell you without giving anything away, so this one will be brief.

A guy in his mid to late 20's goes into the hospital to have a heart transplant and when they put him under general anesthesia, the monitors show that he's under, but he can still hear voices and as they're cutting into his chest and then his breast bone, he can feel every agonizing second of pain. He can't move and his eyes have been taped shut so he has to think of happy thoughts to take his mind of this torture that he's going thru. So he focuses on his girlfriend, with whom his mother is not aware that they are engaged because mommy dearest would not approve. While the surgeons think he's under, many things are discussed about him that completely change everything he's ever thought about everyone he cares about. And now he needs to figure out a way to survive the surgery so that he can confront the people who have turned on him and tell the ones who have been there for him the whole time that he's sorry for doubting them.

Great, GREAT movie! It's short (not even an hour and a half long) but every minute is filled with good scenes.

Vixy :]
