Movie Review - Feast Of Love

Below is my review based on seeing this movie in the theater on opening night.

This one was a bit odd and definitely not for all tastes. It reminded me a lot of Hope Floats and Little Miss Sunshine in the sense that it seemed like it was never going to end, but you didn't mind because you were so wrapped up in the story and the characters that you felt like you were part of it and you just wanted to follow everything that was happening.

In a nut shell, a man (Greg Kinnear) who has been happily married for 6 years finds out that his wife (Selma Blair) has been having an affair with another woman and then one day the straw breaks and she leaves him for the other woman. Heartbroken, he summons up the courage to date a different woman (Radha Mitchell) and falls in love with her but she has been sleeping with a married man and is not ready to commit to just him. Then you also have a younger guy who falls in love at first sight with a young girl (spitting image of a young Sherilyn Fenn) and they have a passionate romance that you can just tell will last forever but then it ends much too soon. In between you have Morgan Freeman playing the understanding friend to all who has been happily married for forever and seems to be intuitive to everyone's relationships.

It's kinda hard to describe, but it was a dramedy with emphasis on the drama and it's one that would probably not need multiple viewings on because it's one to remember. I guess you could say that it had a happy ending but maybe that's subject to interpretation. Either way, if you like movies that have enjoyable characters and a good storyline, I think you will like this movie. Also, there are a lot of boobs and butts (of both genders) because everyone seems to always be having sex. So if that's a factor....

Vixy :]
